We’ve got the answers
What impact does solar have on my local and global community?
Bringing clean energy production to your home or business has an immediate impact, locally and for our global community. Your investment will greatly reduce your carbon footprint and reliance on foreign-sourced fossil fuels, while supporting the local workforce that is helping Florida go green!
Is my home or business a good candidate for solar?
The Sunshine State is naturally a great place for solar. In fact, Florida produces enough solar energy to power over 1 million homes. We’ll evaluate the specific details of your property to determine its clean energy producing potential, and assess any potential limitations or restrictions that could affect system performance.
What are the real financial benefits of going solar?
The sun’s energy is always free. We can accurately calculate the energy your system will produce to offset or completely eliminate utility costs. Your solar system is an investment in a more stable and self reliant future, generating more value year-after-year as utility prices continue to increase.
How do we evaluate energy efficiency?
Implementing an effective solar strategy involves completing an evaluation of your energy usage and needs. We’ll help identify areas of energy loss or inefficiency to ensure that a new solar system will deliver the highest performance to your personal energy production.
What size solar system is right for me?
We help you determine the ideal setup for your energy needs and goals. The great thing about solar technology is that it’s modular and scalable by nature. Whether you’re looking to offset energy costs or completely eliminate them, we’ll design the right system to fit your needs.
What equipment should I use, and why?
Solar technology is getting better each year, and we only install products from reputable manufacturers with a proven track record of reliability and performance. In fact, it’s the same equipment we installed in our own residences. We’ll propose a personalized solar solution with the components required to meet your energy needs for many years to come.
Will I need battery storage for my system?
A battery system is not required to generate electricity from the sun’s free energy, but it is a valuable resource during interruptions to the power grid. A storage system can provide automatic support to your critical energy needs, such as water pumps and refrigeration, should you experience a grid power outage. We help you determine the best strategy to suit the unique needs of your home or business.
How much will a solar system increase the value of my property?
Studies by Berkeley Lab have shown that home buys consistently have been willing to pay more for a property with solar across a variety of states and home types. The average marketing premiums are about $15,000 for an average-sized system, proving that home buyers want to be part of the solar movement!
What is Net Metering?
Net metering is a policy offered in Florida that compensates a solar energy system when electricity is fed back into the grid. This is accomplished through a bi-directional meter that the utility will install on your property. There will be certain times during the day when the total power output of the solar panels exceeds the amount of power a home or business is consuming. During these times, the excess power is fed back into the electric grid where you will store credits at the prevailing retail rate. Net metering allows this power to be stored and then used at night or on rainy days as needed.
What is the process and timeline for a solar installation?
